Peugeot 205 1.8 XLD 3 Door (with 306 1.9 DTurbo Conversion)
- 167,000 Miles.
- 10 Previous Owners.
- 0 Months MOT.
- 5 Speed 1.9 XUD 306 Engine Conversion.
- Bosch fuel pump & K14 turbo.
- Manual windows & sunroof.
- Resprayed professionally three years ago.
- 266 brakes
- 40mm springs on front
- New genuine speedo cable
- Colour coded GTi front bumper
- "Rare" rear 205 reflector strip
Having owned this for over two years I can say it's one of my favourite hatchbacks.
It was converted to a 306 DTurbo engine by "WelshPug"" for the previous owner to a very high standard.
Since owning it I have fitted a Bosch fuel pump (which means more power and can be ran on vegetable oil).
Unfortunately it has a dent on the passenger side wing. A spare wing is included in the sale.
It's worth mentioning that the car is cheap because it has no MOT, but has covered less than 1,000 miles since the last and less than 6,000 miles in the last 5 years.
The drivers door lock is temperamental but I have a second hand mechanism included in the sale. The sun roof leaks in places.
Part of the dash is missing (which can be picked up for around £15 off eBay or £5 from a breakers yard).
Won't run for more then 20-30 seconds, vane pump likely seized.
Ideal cheap reliable daily or investment for someone to tidy up and sell.
Will need recovering (tow/a-frame/truck etc) due to no MOT.
£300 (bring your own wheels).
£400 on set of speedlines.

Meh, hopefully someone takes it on and turns it into an animal.
Fed up of seeing it just sat doing nothing now.
I don't care that I'm losing money, it needs to be used!

Thing is that makes it seem as though you know it will fail, I was keen on this but it put me off re the MOT.
Even if it fails, anyone would prefer a list of fails to work through rather than buying blind.
Know whatta mean?

Mr_Fish had a look at it and said sounds like vane pumps struggling.
It's done less then a 1,000 mile since last MOT, probably more like 400-500.
I can't be bothered. It's not worth my time to spend few hours sorting out niggles and then driving it to MOT etc.
My spare time is more valuable then earning £500 off an MOT'd car that I might be able to sell for £300 as is.

Ooooh get you.
But yeah, been sat hasn't helped that pump really. The overall shell (bar the wing) is rather tidy.
Wants, ideally.... couple bucket seats, Rear lowering then driving. Pump and MOT obviously.

Had another lad send his dad and tyre kick.

Worth chucking an MOT on it?
