This looked brilliant on track yesterday, nice work so far Smile

Iended up removing the heat wrap from my magnex as I found it kept melting through exhaust hangars as the heat wasn't dispersed :/

Haven't noticed a difference without it tbh

After 2 weeks of ringing every tyre person on the planet & being let down by every online shop .....I have been so lucky to get a call yesterday from John @ JD Motorsport Tyres on 07968020546 & a great Welsh Lad so helpful .... says he's tracked down 6 & do I want 4 ....how amazing !!!!
They are for Pugfest only & 205/40/17 Kumo K11 Supersofts

Got the Tyres fitted to the Wheels !
Don't like the blue anodised hub caps ?

The Tyre fitter remarked they were more of a pain to fit than the DZO3Gs

Yes...he genuinely wasn't happy !
He said he could of fitted a dozen tyres in the time it took him to do my 4 & take them somewhere else next time with a really straight face !
Ooh well ... Blush

Maybe .....The sidewall being crazy stiff & only 40 profile ...doesn't help ?....sod him !

Just took the car out for a 3miles fast lane drive & Tyres gripped instantly....set them all at 30psi & stopped to check them after 3 miles 32-33psi & they have picked up all the lane Debris sadly !

I recon I'm going to need to put a pair of my old wheels back on the fronts to get to Pugfest next week or the tyres will be bold by the time I do 38miles  Speechless

Will do .... Inlove
Wick nr Toghill

I loved them when they were White but just to high Maintenance with DS1.11 brake dust ....the greys much more subtle for my age & they look clean 80% of the time now ....
Not so flash !!!
They look much better in the flesh than in the picture !!!

Not sure about the blue centre caps may put silver ones back on ....not buying chrome / Plastic ones !!!!

Anyway some updates ...I'm a local to Castle Combe & go to Prescott now also so the updates this year are for safety & that extra bit I feel The cars lacking in places .
I've seen two members on here total their cars at Combe & Adam B & others said I'm stupid not fitting a cage ...I did listen guys Whistle
I've been collecting bits for the last 6 months & it's time next week they get fitted

1. Helix 4 paddle clutch & Helix cover ...big thank you Rich w
2 .Rich W flywheel ....big thank you Rich w X
3.manual adjustment clutch cable ...speedy cables Swansea !
4. 4.75 final drive Crownwheel & Pinion for my 6speed box ..Thank you Miles X
5 Black Art Designs front Dampers 1 way at pres... Big thank you Dennis X
6 Russain Guy top mounts ....thank you Dennis for all your help X ...
7 Mike Edwards Full welded in cage ...big thank you Sandy x
8 Miles ...full refurbed 6 speed box with my 4.75 FD .. Big thank you Miles X
9. Big thank you to Roland Rat / Ash for a great deal Miles said the box is in amazing nick Thumbs up

A few pictures I'll post more end of next week Thumbs up

New Fromt Suspension

Lightened flywheel ...exactly half the weight of my standard 6 one !
Nothing really special here lots of you have seen or fitted one from Rich W ...LOL

Forgot to post these two items ....competition engine top mount & Gearbox ones not the Fast road ones that look the same ...As Roland Rat said ..better hope I've got no fillings LOL

Got the gearbox mount one fitted already Thumbs up

Helix sprung 4paddle with Helix back plate

Mike Edwards fully welded in cage with door bars

Right small update ....collected my new remanurfactured clutch cable .
All ready for my Helix Clutch & Pressure plate ..

Speedycables in Swansea took a new 6 clutch cable I bought from ECP for £24 & made both metal ends & took the automatic adjustment out & used most of the outside stuff ....

Charged me £59 inc vat & delivery ...

Hopefully that sorts out the weak spot on the cable ?

Now also have metal ends for the throttle cable to the pedal also similar to the clutch end .

Yes I know Ruan  Rofl

Well I've even stripped 50% of the wiring also ...have manual Windows now & all the wiring not needed is gone .
The Front suspension is Black Art Design which was made for Castle Combes bumpy track & the 4.75 Crown wheel & pinion should see me max out with the close ratio 6 box in 6th at 128 ?
Miles totally refurbed my spare box bearings bushes etc it was off a phase 3 with 60k .

It's a bugger to get in now
