bonnet vent

right, let me start off by saying i need more cold air to the filter (considerable amounts more)( but due to the limited space there is very little space to actually put any cold air intakes in a sensible place (no room) i was looking at having a naca style vent like the one above

any suggestions or comments?  niall yours dont count lol

Surely there is enough room to run a corrugated pipe from one of the fog apertures to the filter?

Those Astra vents are proper ugly imho. Plus, I thought they were designed to let hot air out, not bring cold air in?

To be honest, to feed cold air in, your gonna need far more of a 'scoop' type affair in the bonnet....

itll be a few things, that isnt an astra style thats a naca vent, the ones they use on F1 cars et al to reduce drag whilst allowing air in..

i quite like it, would look pretty mean. I imagine if the filter is placed directly in it's path then it will offer quite a bit more cooling. Looks a lot better than drilling holes in the grill.

it would have a feed onto the filter via a small flexi,

If it's painted the same colour as the bonnet it would look fine imo, not exactly massive
