Surely there is enough room to run a corrugated pipe from one of the fog apertures to the filter?
Those Astra vents are proper ugly imho. Plus, I thought they were designed to let hot air out, not bring cold air in?
To be honest, to feed cold air in, your gonna need far more of a 'scoop' type affair in the bonnet....

itll be a few things, that isnt an astra style thats a naca vent, the ones they use on F1 cars et al to reduce drag whilst allowing air in..
Given the choice between Niall and the sheep. I would choose the sheep!

i quite like it, would look pretty mean. I imagine if the filter is placed directly in it's path then it will offer quite a bit more cooling. Looks a lot better than drilling holes in the grill.

You can get a vent from the fog light to the filter I ran one on my s16 with a massive BMc filter

I run withought a light
my ducts more for getting air in behind the manifold to keep that cool

If it's painted the same colour as the bonnet it would look fine imo, not exactly massive
