Guys
Some are aware that I work at ECP...
We currently have as promo on at the moment for K&N filters and other products under their name that runs til the end of May....
I can offer a discount to the members on here (around 10%) and probably do a further discount on bulk and group buys...
If anyone is interested in what I can do then please get in touch!
Thanks
B

Pipercross replacement panel filters aren't oiled. Cheaper than a K&N too.

Realistically though, how many people on here have had a genuine brand new MAF then used a filter and it's failed and how many have stuck one on there existing 100k+ mile one?

K&N kills MAF, personal experience here. They are oiled and destructive...sound nice for induction roar and good airflow though but thats about it sadly
I wish i never threw away my old air box its a matter of time before my secondhand MAF dies...

Why didnt you just get a standard airbox before fitting the working maf?

Ok, so if it's not the oil causing problems it's shit filtration, either way they're not fit for purpose on anything that actually needs an air filter. If it was just a few people having the problem i'd be dubious, but it's almost everyone that i've seen use one...

Yeah but how many people actually post up saying that their car is working perfectly as it should? We only hear about the broken ones.
Put one on a brand new maf and i doubt it'll be a problem. never had one kill any on any of my cars and i always run a K&N.

Exactly my point, 98% of people more than likely fit one to there already 100k+ mile old MAF as well, meaning it's bound to fail any time soon anyway.

I avoid the sponge type ones like the plague! they break up too easily and bits get sucked into places you dont want them, like maf sensors and turbo chargers... Speaking from experience

sponge easily goes through things as its soft where as k&n is a metal gores

the k&n broke up and it sucked in bits of the filter and chipped and scored the casing and rotors badly

How are the filters breaking up? I've had various makes of cones and panels across various cars and not had one break up yet!

Wasn't on a charger sucking hard though tom. I would imagine high tuned charged cars need a LOT more air.
On a break from 306oc for personal reasons. If anyone needs or wants me most of you have my number and or facebook messenger
Thanks for the good times guys n gals. I might be back. Who knows.
