ECP K&N Filters - PocketFighter - 28-04-2015 Guys Some are aware that I work at ECP... We currently have as promo on at the moment for K&N filters and other products under their name that runs til the end of May.... I can offer a discount to the members on here (around 10%) and probably do a further discount on bulk and group buys... If anyone is interested in what I can do then please get in touch! Thanks B RE: ECP K&N Filters - Piggy - 28-04-2015 hdi panel filter?? RE: ECP K&N Filters - Poodle - 28-04-2015 Don't put one on an HDi, Piggy, you'll kill the maf. RE: ECP K&N Filters - welshpug - 29-04-2015 nope. RE: ECP K&N Filters - PartyJas - 29-04-2015 Pipercross replacement panel filters aren't oiled. Cheaper than a K&N too. Clicky RE: ECP K&N Filters - Ruan - 29-04-2015 http://www.knfilters.com/news/news.aspx?ID=422 I mean, sure K&N are going to play it down - hmmm... RE: ECP K&N Filters - Midnightclub - 29-04-2015 Realistically though, how many people on here have had a genuine brand new MAF then used a filter and it's failed and how many have stuck one on there existing 100k+ mile one? RE: ECP K&N Filters - highwayman306 - 29-04-2015 K&N kills MAF, personal experience here. They are oiled and destructive...sound nice for induction roar and good airflow though but thats about it sadly ![]() I wish i never threw away my old air box ![]() RE: ECP K&N Filters - Iceman299 - 29-04-2015 (29-04-2015, 09:01 AM)highwayman306 Wrote: K&N kills MAF, personal experience here. RE: ECP K&N Filters - highwayman306 - 29-04-2015 30% money, 50% cba, 20% would have to move my TPS... AGAIN! ![]() RE: ECP K&N Filters - procta - 29-04-2015 I have an ITG one installed, gave the K&N one away. RE: ECP K&N Filters - Stef205 - 29-04-2015 pipercross are sponge like itg, k&n are a gores type filter. i hate k&n with passion mainly due to it owning me a charger! i now will only use itg or pipercross. RE: ECP K&N Filters - PocketFighter - 29-04-2015 Blimey wasn't expecting this many responses lol Think it's easier for you guys to call me if it's individual... 02087743521 that's my direct line, ask for Rob just in case RE: ECP K&N Filters - Poodle - 30-04-2015 Ok, so if it's not the oil causing problems it's shit filtration, either way they're not fit for purpose on anything that actually needs an air filter. If it was just a few people having the problem i'd be dubious, but it's almost everyone that i've seen use one... RE: ECP K&N Filters - Matt-Rallye - 30-04-2015 Yeah but how many people actually post up saying that their car is working perfectly as it should? We only hear about the broken ones. Put one on a brand new maf and i doubt it'll be a problem. never had one kill any on any of my cars and i always run a K&N. RE: ECP K&N Filters - highwayman306 - 30-04-2015 give it time ![]() RE: ECP K&N Filters - Midnightclub - 30-04-2015 (30-04-2015, 10:56 AM)Matt-Rallye Wrote: Yeah but how many people actually post up saying that their car is working perfectly as it should? We only hear about the broken ones. Exactly my point, 98% of people more than likely fit one to there already 100k+ mile old MAF as well, meaning it's bound to fail any time soon anyway. I avoid the sponge type ones like the plague! they break up too easily and bits get sucked into places you dont want them, like maf sensors and turbo chargers... Speaking from experience RE: ECP K&N Filters - Stef205 - 30-04-2015 sponge easily goes through things as its soft where as k&n is a metal gores (30-04-2015, 11:33 AM)zx_volcane Wrote:(29-04-2015, 11:56 AM)Stef205 Wrote: pipercross are sponge like itg, k&n are a gores type filter. i hate k&n with passion mainly due to it owning me a charger! i now will only use itg or pipercross. the k&n broke up and it sucked in bits of the filter and chipped and scored the casing and rotors badly RE: ECP K&N Filters - Toms306 - 30-04-2015 How are the filters breaking up? I've had various makes of cones and panels across various cars and not had one break up yet! ![]() RE: ECP K&N Filters - bashbarnard - 30-04-2015 Wasn't on a charger sucking hard though tom. I would imagine high tuned charged cars need a LOT more air. |
