3000 grit? Do it with 2000 grit. Will be fine. Then just get a very good cut on it. Not something you buy in halfords. A professional cut.

Iv done 1500 with g3 cutting & polish. Just needs an extra little flat. But will prob do the whole car as it isnt perfect being diablo lol.

Who cares what prep methods are used, my mate uses a wood rasp to start on heavily filled areas...
So long as the finish is ok! Wishes for more power...
