Pininfarina is part of the reason that parts cost so much!
Just be thankful the little Pininfarina badge didn't fall off the side. If you want a new one, it'll be £83.33 thank you very much. That's price for each, too! Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

Might pull that one actually, sick of this. He was in the wrong lane and hit me, and I have a witness to that. Seems pretty simple to me...

looks like she should have gone to specsavers
On a serious note scotty, its only the coupe...no drama lol. I hope you get it sorted for free and any other little dings may also be thrown in for free, if you know what i mean the smokey old bus that sounds like a tractor...

bummer mate but like tom said how did she hit a parked car !!!!

I think the more appropriate question is how she hit 4 parked cars, and how she had enough speed/momentum to hit 4 parked cars when she'd only travelled 20 yards from the roundabout!
Cheers Chris, but honestly mate I think they'll take one look at the part's list and declare it royally f*cked. I had a slightly better look today when it was trailered off (didn't start it as I think one of the rad hoses may have been knocked off) and there may have been some damage to the slam panel as well, so add that to the list. Christ Liam that's a shitter! There's no way she can't accept fault with this one though, all the other drivers involved weren't in their vehicles
23-03-2012, 06:36 PM
so basically she has booted it off the roundabout what car is hers??

Her car had already been taken, but she was in a corsa. Not sure what state it was in.
She's a local LibDem MP

Car has been taken, I now have an AMAZING Skoda Fabia Apparently will take 2-3 working days for them to let me know what the deal is, but I think we already know the answer

Not sure I can be bothered with the hassle to be honest. If I knew I had a buyer for the brakes, wheels, powerflow exhaust, spoiler, interior etc then I'd consider it. It also depends on the price I get offered for it too. Oh, I'd also have a drivers headlight to get rid of too haha.
Will see how things go Phil not sure what I'll get just yet.
25-03-2012, 08:09 AM
If they write it off, buy it back if it's less than 200 quid. I reckon if we all got on it for a weekend, we could have the whole thing stripped in a weekend ready for the pikeys to take the shell away. You would easily make your money back!
Oh and don't knock the skoda! Should have asked for a nicer car though!

Which Fabia? PD130 VRS are nice.....1.2 3 cylinders not so nice lol....
25-03-2012, 08:38 AM
That is a shitter Scott but like niall said, strip it if its cheap to buy! the lump could be transplanted in to a 306, leather seats breaks and pretty much most other things will sell...stick a thread on the coupe forum to gauge interest?
Now there's an invitation to join the dt group again the smokey old bus that sounds like a tractor...
25-03-2012, 08:52 AM
Scott if they write it off, ask for the price and argue it.
Insurance companies really can't be bothered to have to take the car from you. It costs them even more money. It's win win for them if they have to pay you out but don't have to collect the car so they will sell it cheap! Just have to argue with them

Oh yeah don't worry mate, I've been looking around at other coupes that are for sale in the same age/condition/mileage and it's working well in my favour at the moment, I've got the saved but I might actually do some screengrabs in case they go.
If it's less than £200 then I may do, as the wheels, exhaust and brakes have to be worth at least that. I'm not sure about the engine though, as it's part-mulitplexed so I'm not 100% on whether it could be put in a 306 without a load of sensor issues.

i sold my 406 brembos for 190 saw a set sold the other day for 225 and with disks could go for a lil more :-)
So there is some good money in breaking it

You can actually fit the entire interior in if you really wanted
Wow Phil that's handy to know! I believe there's a fair amount of life left in the brakes, and would be happy to sell the whole set up including pads and discs, so that could be good. It's a shame it happened so late in the month really, I won't have time to claim back 2 months tax, just the 1.

Well if you guys do end up stripping it, they'll be bacon sarnies and tea waiting
