That's wants to be your coupe! I will cry if it's that 6!
At least they left details. I don't seem to have that sort of luck!

Thank f*ck for that. I know it's a Peugeot and quite a nice one but a 6 is much better!

Re: Not ideal... - C.A.R. - 22-03-2012

Whereabouts in Herts have you been hiding matey?

Re: Not ideal... - Scott - 22-03-2012

Got a phone call from a friend from work 10 minutes after she'd left today, figured what had happened before I even answered the phone. So I went down to where my car was parked, and saw that it was about 5 foot further back then where I had parked it:

Here's the damage:

So all in all, not amazingly great. Bumper and wing are f*cked, headlight, foglight and bonnet aren't great, didn't bother checking any damage to the wheels etc.

But I'm sure most of you will have noticed that the driver (female driver of a Corsa) managed to hit the passenger side which was the furthest from the road, and as she hit the passenger side of the front of the car, she also had to be driving the opposite direction Confusedhock: She managed to hit 4 or 5 cars (not sure on the total, the police had already taken a couple of the cars before we got there), including my colleague's golf 1.4 TSi

After hitting my car, she carried on through the hedge into the car parked in the driveway behind my car.

Re: Not ideal... - Niall - 22-03-2012

That will buff out!

What the hell was she doing? Having a nap whilst driving?

Re: Not ideal... - 4WayDiablo - 22-03-2012

Damn yeah they will prob write it off :-(

Re: Not ideal... - Toms306 - 22-03-2012

How the f*ck can anyone hit a parked car let alone a line of them!?

Guessing it was an old woman in an auto that hit the acc pedal instead of the brake?

Re: Not ideal... - Connor - 22-03-2012

WTAF... Some people shouldn't be on the road...

Not ideal... - Matt - 22-03-2012

Just rememered there is the exact same car as yours in the scrappy by me. Trents it is. Salvage parts for you?

Re: Not ideal... - Scott - 22-03-2012

The circle is roughly where the first car was parked...How the f*ck she managed to drive into it, followed by another 3 cars and through a hedge into another car is beyond me. How she managed to lose control, and also be at enough of a speed to do enough damage to my car, my colleague's car, plus another 2 cars which needed to be taken away straight away, is just outstanding.

[attachment=0]

She was driving a Corsa C in red (as you can see from my paint lol), so no idea how the car withstood that much damage.

Apparently she was fine to walk from the ambulance when it arrived. To be fair, I don't know if she had a seizure or something, so I'm not going to judge until I know what happened Smile

Re: Not ideal... - Jenkosowls - 22-03-2012

the crapest thing is too that your insurance will bum you despite it not being your fault and no where near the car! insurance sucks!

Re: Not ideal... - Scott - 22-03-2012

Sadly yeah, but I've got protected no claims at least Smile

I'm thinking that as they managed to hit 3 panels, ruin the light and foglight that it could be a write-off...

Re: Not ideal... - Niall - 22-03-2012

It won't affect your no claims Scott. You weren't in the car. Your prwmium will go up though.

Re: Not ideal... - Toms306 - 22-03-2012

I like the way they left you the pieces of bumper.....did they think you're gonna stick them back together!? Confusedhock:

I don't know about that mate, think I feel a bit of whiplash coming on lol

For anyone who doesn't get my sarcasm, I'm taking the piss out of people who claim for whiplash when their car has been touched at 0.0009mph

Looks like they piled up the peices for him though lol. And yes, imo if they made the mess they should clear it up!

Re: Not ideal... - mark_airey - 22-03-2012

that is a bit of shitty luck man, must be karma for going to Canada too much ninja

Seriously though, WTAF was she doing and how the hell do you hit the side of the car furthest from the road? lol also its too damn nice to write off but it will cost a bit to sort as you say with it being so many panels that are damaged! Sad

Scott Wrote:She was driving a Corsa C in red (as you can see from my paint lol)

Tbh when you sent me the pics and I saw the red paint I was about to query whether fooby had somehow got the 6 back on the road and got abit over excited with the handbrake a bit too close to your car lol

Seriously tho that's a bit of a bummer Sad hope it doesn't affect your premium; it shouldn't rest as a claim against you at all so shouldn't affect it?

Re: Not ideal... - Niall - 22-03-2012

It will be the other parties fault as Scott wasn't in the car but it still effects your premium unfortunately.

Speaking of which I had a call today

Him - hello is this mr Harper
Me - could be
Him- I'm from *generic claim company* and I've been passed your details from elephant with the recent accident you had. The other part has accepted full responsibly so they owe you a minimum of £1500 in compensation. Let's start your claim shall we?
Me - I was in bed when it happened...
Him - oh. Well let's claim for loss of earnings shall we
Me - your a cock
Him - you can't call me that
Me - I just did. Good bye!

Wankers! This is why insurance is so bloody expensive.

Not ideal... - Matt - 22-03-2012

Tbf if they write it off it's a good reason to get another '6 Wink
