Loving the framed pictures of yours and the mrs 306
Looks nice are these on some sort of deal as everyone's got them ??
You should get a proper cage now then You out in this for action day ? Astor 6 Fast road/track project
06-03-2015, 08:33 PM
You really need to come round if like that chris and see the rest lol.
They are the deal of centry sam! I dont really want a full cage tbh. I think what iv got would be enough. I want to keep it more fast road rather than full on track wepon. Amd no most likely wont be out for action day unless i can find some R888 between now and then
06-03-2015, 08:33 PM
Full cagea really do take away a bit of suitability though. Pain in the arse getting in and out.
06-03-2015, 08:38 PM
T1R's are known for being soft. Those PE2's you have are awesome on track. You don't need R888's, they are good, but frightfully expensive. Also, unless going pretty hard for a while they don't heat up. Crap in the wet too.
AD08's are a better idea
06-03-2015, 08:44 PM
They are shit lol. They are good if you just have a 6 for a daily. But for what i use mine for now they are poo. Any other tyre suggestions...
06-03-2015, 08:46 PM
What are shit, PE2's? Are you kidding?
06-03-2015, 09:00 PM
Ah! I really like T1R's, but yeah they have soft sidewalls and wear quickly, overheating pretty easily. Ok grip though.
What type of tyre do you want? I've tried quite a few.
06-03-2015, 09:02 PM
I just want a better level of grip and control. Not worried about wet weather
06-03-2015, 09:05 PM
Yokohama A048 or Toyo R888 I'd say, for a reasonable budget in 15". There are offerings from the premium manufacturers too, but they cost BIG bucks.
06-03-2015, 09:11 PM
I've got a rapidly growing collection of rubber bands? I'll let you have some for the cost of postage.
06-03-2015, 09:11 PM
What about them nankang ns2r track day jobbys heard mixed reviews on them
06-03-2015, 09:15 PM
I reckon go with the rubber bands from wingnutz
I've heard from a few guys running 500bhp Evo's that the NS2R Is good. It's what I'm gonna try next as it's quite affordable. I've heard reports of cracking though, but it's hard to tell the circumstances. Federal 595 RSR is also getting good feedback. I like AD08's, they are what the guys in the saloon championship use. Great grip whatever the weather, for a great price. Long lasting too.
06-03-2015, 09:17 PM
They are £200 for 195 50 15s. And looking at reviews they are quite highly rated for dry and wet i may actually give them a go at that price tbh
06-03-2015, 09:19 PM
Go for it, I intend to when i get the car a bit moretrack ready
06-03-2015, 09:31 PM
Im gona get some harness then that may well be the next purchase . Who do you use to balance cyclones?
06-03-2015, 09:38 PM
Those 595RSRs been getting some very good reviews.
On some big powered stuff too Wishes for more power...

And judging by the way he attacks combe I'd trust his judgement. (06-03-2015, 09:31 PM)puglove Wrote: Im gona get some harness then that may well be the next purchase . Who do you use to balance cyclones? Definitely worth it. Would you be able to strap them to your cage? Does it have a horizontal cross bar? As for all my tyres I use Melksham tyre supplies as they are pretty spot on. Good service (albeit with a gruff face) and they are half the price of the bigger firms such as Carsons. Never scratch my wheels. I use Carsons for anything to do with my bikes.

They dont seem to be that avalible
06-03-2015, 10:30 PM
What, the 595's? £93 at demontweeks in 195/50/R15
