The Pajero just looks wrong clean and shiny lol, should be caked in mud!
be interesting to see what these are like off road bet the tacky chrome looking stuff wouldn't stay straight/on for long
shame your not local we could have tested it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gw7fL8dFUFk (24-01-2015, 07:18 AM)Poodle Wrote: I'm not 100% we can do them tbh, too big, what's the gvw and wheelbase?Yeah your not fuckkng wrong, part of the problem is its not really that heavy but has huge wide tyres so when they eventually let go thats alot of grip to suddenly loose. also the steering is about 5 turns lock to lock so the amount of arm work needed to get some opposite lock on makes me feel like Mr Tickle, f*cking arms everywhere. I'll FBM you about some tuning. (24-01-2015, 08:56 AM)Matt-Rallye Wrote: dum dum well done mate get ti lifted and get green laning!Thats the plan Took her out yesterday and got her a little muddy, loads of the apparent green lanes round herer either dont have any access or are subject to TCO's at the minute. Also road tyres really suck when it gets slippy. Managed to work out what's wrong with the windows, its not the regulator or the motor it's just the switch as prodding wires together makes the window go up and down. Sorted the washers being shit with new jets, exhaust is being fixed with bodgery and weld, rear fog is being replaced and then its ready for its new MOT although it desperately needs a service as the oil is black and so is the air filter. TBH I could really get my drift on in the work mazda B 2500. Was a hilarious thing to do! If this is anything like that then its a lot of fun... for something its not meant to do! haha

So took it for an MOT this evening after bodging the exhaust and adding some working fog lights to the rear valance and as expected it failed. 6 fails in total. 4 wheel nuts (has 5 out of 6 on each wheel), a number plate light not working and a front CV boot. It's gonna need a new bulb holder and wiring for the number plate light but its all easy enough fixes. Might well have her on the road in time for snow.

I cant believe they fitted it with an LSD, I dont see why every wannabe drift whore isnt buying the 2wd ones of these to punt round in.
It's actually growing on me,lift kit and snorkel would look great
Yeah can see this being sold on to buy brwarps for the rallye Astor 6 Fast road/track project

Nice truck. I'd quite like something like this for no rational reason whatsoever other than I want one!

I'm gonna import the body lift kit from america but its £200 ish. New tyres will make it 2 inches higher as well. 3" body lift, 2" suspension lift and 1" of extra tyre height making it 6" higher (26-01-2015, 10:47 PM)RetroPug Wrote: Nice truck. Well I approve. We have a ranger, seems to pull on well.
seems easy fixes for the MOT Normally on a ranger the brake lines rust so just keep an eye on those. Good purchase IMHO

It's getting most of the rest of that stuff but there is no way i'm putting a confederate flag on the back of it especially as I want one of those tailgate mesh nets the VW boys love putting on caddys, also chrome bull bars aren't happening, I want a dodgy looking winch bumper in red oxide. Good luck finding a tailgate net in the uk. Only one i found was custom made and like £150. Ended up diy with old seatbelts.

Will be seeing how well I can get that down. 7-8 seconds 30-70 would be nice, its never going to be fast 20-80 as its barely off idle at 20mph in 4th.

£100 just for a tailgate net though. Too steep for me.
Id hate to see how long mine takes. Top speed on the books is only 87 haha.

Ian if you want I'll sell you my turbo and down pipe for a very fair price when I get the new one on.
29-01-2015, 08:16 AM
Why anyone would have a net instead of a tailgate is beyond me! nothing better than sittin' on the tailgate scoffing pork pies and swigging a beer during a good off roading session on some welsh greenlane somewhere
Although saying that my old 1991 strada (L200 import) had no tailgate at all so i could get my quad on the back |
