Dodgy as f*ck fuel cut off - that will do a grand total of sweet FA if the throttle is even remotely off idle - no chance it'd stop the engine... You need a cutoff switch to the actual fuel supply.
Very cool nonetheless.

Well, you just match the prop to the motor...
If anything you actually want high power at high rpms to swing a bigger prop and move more air when flat out...
The issue lies with standard road going engines that that they were never designed for continuous high speed, high load operation... XUDs don't especially like making 90hp at 4300rpm all day long... After a friend of mine working for an aero diesel company and seeing the sort of testing they endure, there's no way an XUD9 would put up with it making 90hp unless quite a few changes were made...
