Problem with instrument cluster on peugeot 306

I have this problem when it's cold outside for the first five minutes. When it's driving nothing works exept the gauge for temperature. What can be the problem ??? This is what's happening

Usually one needle flick and the mileage all 8's is due to a bad battery, I've never seen your exact problem though lol!
