Ive done this before. Works fine but you need to have the right height of bobbin! What ar eyours? 20mm of rubber?

So you either can get nut covers...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PROTECTIVE-COV...258cce4a9f What i think I might do is get some M6 bolts and make something up that looks a bit funky... Spacers to raise the cover up http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Nylon-Pl...462cdb7747 some funky decorative countersunk washers preferably without jap stuff all over them. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-PIECES-M6-x...5d52bd5739 and whatever length of M6 bolt is needed to go through it all. Probably in black. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M6-6mm-BLACK-A...338e0ed603

What is the length of the bobbin piggy? Need to work out how long the bolts need to be.
Is there anything which has a female thread and a male thread? So like the bobbin but allows a bolt to be screwed into the top of bobbin some kind of bolt extender? like this...

Yeah but wingnuts come loose.
As Sam is looking at those would be better. Covers or something similar. Wishes for more power...

I still don't know what the bits in that picture are called. Volt extenders is all I've come up with...

I lost all of mine.
These could be useful for someone to keep it looking oem http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-BLACK-Plast...4614272f9d

Right. Still looking at a way of making it look tidy so i can use my bolts and finishing washers...
What we/I really want is a 20mm M/F M6 standoff like style 2 below. http://uk.farnell.com/richco/htsa-m6-20-...dp/1898540 |
