Gotta love LHD 306s with all that room with the master cylinder on the other side!!!

Looking great though, can't wait to see this thing done.

Ok colours were like too much free time lol. It goes good, but it's not with as much fuel the 8v was but I will put more fuel on it a remake turbo control maps because with this 16v head my turbo pre control are a bit of

Hi, glad to hear its going well. As soon as I'm back from my holiday I'll spend some more time going through the map stuff with you. Obviously, with a completely different head its going to need reworking, so I wouldn't worry about that.

What is the smoke like, or have you not pushed it enough yet to see??

I am putting now 85 iq from 2250 up to 4000 rpm and no smoke at 1.4 bar. Soi was made to put eoi near 1° atdc at cruise speeds and rail up to 1000 bar. It feels more response this way

Have you got an EGT gauge in? I'd be interested to see how hot she gets under load.

i am driving the car a few days now, but only made like 500KM or less, but i noticed i making a bit of black smoke. i am runing the same Smoke map as before, 17.5/18 so i shound put any smoke behind. maybe injectors are not that good??? or maybe just need a cleaning?

Are you sure you've not got a boost leak, or a restriction in the inlet? Could be you need more injection advance at high load too. Check the basics first.

Also, as you say. Could be a duff injector.

I think there is no boost leaks. I will clean the maf sensor. Inlet is so clean you can eat inside lol. Maybe more advance is needed. But only a pro like yourself can take a look on that

--Well i have been driving the car a bit now and made like 2000 KM on road.

-- Diferences that i noticed on this 16v engine:

Good things

-- It seems more economic
-- less noisy
-- smooth driving through the gears
-- on iddle less vibration
-- water temperature is a lot less, dont know why. 8v was always on 80º and a bit more, this 16v is always on 70º/71º no more then that, confirmed on PP2000.
-- i am runing same rail pressure, but with R70 pump, same IQ 95mm^3 and 1.4 bar turbo, but i this engine makes more smoke with same boost and IQ, a bit more, WHY???
-- Power is almost the same, i think no more and no less. but it makes more smoke.

Any thoughts about the increase in smoke?? do this 16v engine needs more air??

Does anyone know the injection angle for a 2.0 hdi RHR engine with siemens injectors??

Its because i am thinking this is not producing that much power or should produce more, and i am starting to thing this could be from bad injection angle

Don't worry mate. The mapping just needs a bit more work... We will get there!

did some more testing today and found some bad new.

autodada show compression at 25-30 bar on 2.0 hdi 8v and 20-22 on 2.0 hdi 16v.

did the test and got 15, this is some very bad news.

Now what?????
