I will be going stage 2 sometime in the near future and even at stage 1 my 266mm brakes are a bit dodgey, especially in the wet.
What is needed to switch from the 266mm HDI setup to the 283mm GTI6 setup, Ive had a go with the 283 and they are soo much better than my 266mm HDI setup.
Do I just need;
Callipers
Pads
Discs
Is the master cylinder really needed?
Also do I need the calliper carriers from the GTI6 or will my HDI ones work?
Cheers

Callipers, carrier bolts, pads, discs.
Should be fine on HDi MC (I find the GTi one is too bitey/sharp).
Big improvement over HDi's.
My S14 only has 280mm's (4 pots however)!

Cheers! So you can keep the calliper carriers but just need to buy the carrier bolts from the GTI6?
Sounds as if the 307 HDI have a similar 283mm setup to the GTI6 (307 ep 26 and GTI6 ep 22), worth going for the 307 HDI ones as they are supposed to be cheaper and sound like they would brake a bit better?
