It might look tiny but my current filter is smaller than my priming grenade.

The one I linked to is 9 point something mm in and out, 10mm hose slides over nice and clamps up good. It is small but it's cheap, and works great, it's what I ran on the 205 with no issues and I was lighting up every gear...
Doesnt even own a 306.

I'll look into one of them. Really don't want to have to go to £40 a time motorsport ones with how often I clog filters.

So a little bit of an update, I really am terrible at updating this thread.
Got the FMIC re piped with a larger U bend that mitch gave me at FCS. Made myself an air filter from a sieve, a funnel and some spare FMIC pipe. I will put a proper filter back on when I swap the turbo. Oh and wrapped some of the shiny silver pipe in black tape as it was anoying me it looking lop sided behind the grille. [attachment=17042] [attachment=17043] [attachment=17044] Finally got round to wiring in the fans and the glow plugs off their own simple circuits. Even got a warning light for the plugs so I dont forget I have them on. [attachment=17045] [attachment=17046] [attachment=17047] Got my veg for the next month or 2 from Tesco seen as their offer is ending soon, with vouchers on top its costing me less than 80ppl and although Costco is cheaper thats a 60 mile round trip and I haven't renewed my membership. [attachment=17048] And decided to take a few photos of the car as she is as I haven't taken any in months that weren't just of mods or broken things. [attachment=17049] [attachment=17050] She is going to need a service soon and dropping the gear oil so I can replace my dodgy driveshaft and stick a new lower mount in and its been about 5k since the engine oil was done. Also gotta replace the main crankcase breather, the joys. Might See if I can afford the cable to relocate the battery to the boot ready for the turbo.

Dumdum never stops bodging!!!
What flange has your new turbo got mate? Im thinking about putting together a log manifold for thr GTB...so didnt know if my manifold to gearbox extension would be of some use to you? Wishes for more power...
23-06-2014, 10:54 AM
The turbo flange is a merc triangular flange with the oblong hole
23-06-2014, 11:40 AM
Ahhh same as my new GTB one.
My current one is a classic rectangular 4 hole t3 style flange Wishes for more power...

Your all just jealous of my win filter. Its there to be of suitable size to be pretty much zero restriction.
Piggy PM me a price on the pipe for your current turbo as I might consider it for adaption if its cheap and has the right flange on the manifold end.

Wait why are you buying such a restrictive air filter when you already have your 0% restriction one?

So here is my welder, dead easy to set up and use.
[attachment=17357] [attachment=17358] And I decided to knock out a few practice welds on some old seat rails which looked pretty good. [attachment=17359] [attachment=17360] And then was so excited i decided to start knocking up big turbo bits and did a dhit job of it. Well I think they are gas tight but they aint so pretty as the earlier welds but its a start. Really wish I had more bits to crack on with. [attachment=17361] [attachment=17362]

Wishes for more power...

^^^ Cant go less power, its got a high (100amp) or low setting. Really need to knock the turbo off the 2.2 manifold and see how it looks in the bay.

Never understood that - why on earth would you want only two power settings - was it really that expensive to put like maybe 6 taps off the transformer winding!!!
