Couldn't be happier with the result.

Really want to make the rolling road day at telford next weekend.

Telford? Dude, that's down the road from me, takes all of 15 minutes to get here, DAMN!

Also glad to see my car's still on the road thanks to a good driver and Mechanic, just hand the keys back over when you're finished with it Danny Tongue

Done a deal today to buy the turbo and intercooler from a van a friend of mine bought for spares.

That means a GT2056s and bigger cooler will be with me for under a ton in the coming weeks.

Really enjoyed the TD04, its almost like a Jekyl and Hyde car, can drive about on low revs, conserving derv and not really wake it up,but if you need to overtake, or fancy a good blast, get the revs right, floor it, and see the horizon appear very fast.
Should only cost another £650 odd quid to fit.......

Little update time. Been running quite well recently with no major fails to note. One of my driveshafts is on the way out but that's about it really.

Been meaning to sort out the oil return from the turbo since it was first fitted as it was always weeping a bit of oil. That got worse last week and the hose split and covered the arse end and anywhere i parked in puddles of oil. Fitted an actual new return from ebay and threw out the old radge up.

New sticker.

Then stripped all the bits I wanted off The Mrs old 1.4.

What happened to my old engine.

Timing had jumped after the pulley seized and valves had whacked pistons quite bad, big end shells shot and just a bit of an old, coaled up, leaky dog. Could have been sorted but a newer engine was cheap enough not to worry.

Then got the back axle lowered and re greased with thicker TBs.

Pins and bearing were good enough.

With new lows. Think I might go another 20mm on the front.

Thanks for looking. All comments welcome.

His for sale thread is here, but he's sold it.
This post is an artistic work of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted above as fact.
