So just got off the phone to Three, and seeing as the iPad contract is up they offered a upgrade ,so seeing as my laptop is totally goosed and running Linux which I can't understand I chose a new laptop.
So I'm getting the Acer E1-530 which has Windows 8 (64bit I think) so while it's new and virus free wana get the HDi mapped.
So the question is, is this suitable? I keep reading everyone says use XP, does 8 have a XP emulator or is the KWP or Galletto capable of working with 8 or do I buy something else? Or does someone have something that will work that they've used so is known to be good that they're willing to part with?
Thanks guys.

MPPS does work fine with Win7 64bit so it might well work on Win8 too but I've not tried it.

Well I don't know for sure it'll be 64bit. It is if you buy it direct off Acer but I don't know what Three will ship it with

so its here must say I'm not that impressed, it is running win8.1 64bit but i dont like it at all, all this app malarky trying to turn it into a tablet or phone experience, last laptop i had was vista so was really still very much a PC experience. suppose i'll get used to it, just spent 3 hours wiping all the old antivirus samplers and installed the free kaspersky off barclays got the night to explore it and try get used to it then onto ebay to find a tool.
