Theres no stones, rocks, slates, nothing within 20feet.
Either someone came in and vandalised it or it self smashed!

just waiting on someone to get back to me...about 25miles away, right colour.
boots got dents anyway, but would have rather found one in my own time without having to clear up 100000s of bits of glass.
spose I can get that rear light cluster board at same time, maybe a wing too.

Just hope was one of those random things that happen once in a blue moon.
hows your street for crimes,yobs,chavs??
Maybe a idea to report it to the police, they ll probably do f*ck all but may send a patrol car up and down a few times a day.

Shitter mate, I'd still reckon on something falling off the building. Even a tiny stone if its rolled from the top and hit the window right on the edge could of done it and i wouldn't think vandals because of where on the window it is.

Theres a screen along the edge of the roof to stop things like that falling off....so I doubt it.
And it takes some effort to smash a screen

Could have been just a freak glass explosion, factory defect on the edge or something you never know.
Or you have some REALLY heavy birds around your area landing on your car LOL

Hmm thats a bummer. my initial thought could be that something came off the roof. My mate was driving his clio and the rear window shattered randomly. Maybe its just a thing that rarely happens.

When I was on 106owners I saw this happen a few times, but usually because of either the demister or they were driving over rough ground.

Phone around. When i smashed the rear window on my old one, i paid £90 fitted for one. Although that was mates rates, it was never going to be £200!

Probably just random bad luck tbh!
Think about how many times that boot lid gets slammed and the demister heats up the frozen glass....its bound to cause small fractures eventually, which lead to bigger failures lol.

It doesn't! You genuinely can do it by throwing a bit of gravel at the window. There is more technique than force.

well, not too bad of a colour match
spent some time feeding the loom into new boot as was a pov spec boot, but it meant no soldering.
theres some major panel gaps...think new one is twisted, but dont really care. it shuts.
also spotted this down at the scrappy...
unfortunately couldnt find the cold side
