Hi all I'm thinking about getting redy to do a front mount but I'm after some help.what parts/things do I need to think about getting and that apart from the obvious front mount and pipe work.I'm putting on better brakes but what else do I need if some one can list the best options for me that would be great.B-)
bit of guidance needed.

Have a look in the guide section, fmic related stuff is very well covered.
You mention brakes, that goes a bit beyond the scope of intercooler installs, are you looking to upgrade your chassis as a whole..?

With a stage 2, 266 brakes really aren't that great.. set a few on fire in the past so definitely worth the upgrade to GTi brakes at least.

or with a bit of work some 406 v6 brakes they need 16" rims

Squeaky brakes do my head in.worse enough having a squeaky idler pully.I've tried looking for the thread can anyone put me in the right direction

![]() Tbf the search function on here is pretty good, the issue is knowing what to search for. Best bet is to keep the terms simple - "fmic" brought up quite a few useful threads on the first page of results alone.

I typed in fitting fmic and front mount intercooler and that.just a question I've seen a cheep fmic what would it take to fit it for show at the moment till I get the pipe work.is it all fairly strate forwad.

Yep, if it'll go behind the bumper you just need to make a couple of brackets to hold it there.
