Andy's garden ornament Nile Blue GTi-6
#1
Okay, so some of you may/may not know that I purchased Midnightclub's Phase 2.5 Nile Blue GTi-6 a while back

Seeing as I finally got it home the other day I am now starting my project thread.

Here are some pictures because it's been a while since it's been seen... Only thing that's changed recently are the addition of wind deflectors.

I do have some plans for it and seeing as it'll be sat there not doing too much for a while it should be fairly easy to get hold of and add a few goodies.

Obligatory bits and pieces will be lows, wheel refurb and paint along with other little bits.
I am looking at something a bit ninja for more power.

I am currently busy with a new job but I will keep this updated as often as I can

Cheers guys.

Surprisingly not as expensive as you'd think for a first car.. Can't remember off the top of my head but it's sub £1000

Yes I still have to aquire a full licence. Hence the garden ornament title.

That will be taken care of ASAP.
And the insurance isn't as much as you'd think.

Cheers dude.

It'll get to where I want it fairly quickly.

Plus, I would not like to be trusted with a cossie!

That's quite a start! First "fast" car I drove was an automatic VR6 Vento, thought it was a supercar lol

Well what ever happens, I really will try my hardest to not write it off.
But starting with 167-ish bhp is going to be a brown trouser experience.

So, I've been away a while.
I'm about to become a dad so progress has been a little slow and money has been tight.
Yes, I've still no licence because, as said, money has been tight. Once the baby is born and I'm into the new place that's next on the list Smile

Anyway since I've been away this happened:

And so did this:

So it now looks like this:

It's also had a little bit of work done in other places just to stop it from rotting away. For now.

Big Grin

Glad to see you've not lost the will to live with it yet, though it's not exactly the most practical family car in the world! Wink

I know Steve but I haven't a licence so even if this was an Espace it'd be useless Wink

The '6 is alright Sam. Apart from the epic rake. Looking good on the wheels however.
Considering it's only travelled 4 miles in 15 months and it still turns over and moves without an issue.

Just for lols... It did those 4 miles on crap roads with 2 rather broken springs...

Christ it was awful Sam.
It sounded like a brick in a tumbledryer!

Cheers beesting. Was never really a fan of Nile Blue but in the sun it looks epic!

Wouldn't say good use Trent, it hasn't moved with them attached yet haha.
To be fair after going over money and things, yeah, it won't exactly be bad.

Last reply was over 3 years ago, and I now own this (again) - just FYI Tongue

It's a mix of parts too, for instance it has a PH1 interior.
