Minis are a pita haha.
Although I do quite fancy another one even though all my entire parts collection has been sold now :-(
yeah I know, the parts for those have got a bit silly in price recently.
have you got shot of yours?
Yep, everything's gone, even the shell

what made you get shot of the full smash? was it the price of the parts, as one of the metro lads was a mini owner, he bailed out on minis, due to the prices of parts.

My brother in law f*cked me over, sold a load of parts essential to the build, I lost heart in it and just sold what was left.

pain in the arse that! I hope you had a word with him over that! My mate nearly gave his uncle a good hiding for ripping him off, His uncle had offered to take an old car, of my mates, to be weighed in. Got well over a ton for it, and give my mate 30 quid!
My mate knew he got more for it, as it had alloys, battery and a cat on. so all could have been weighed in separately. His dad had to intervene as my pal was going to break his legs!

My problem is I need to stop looking at new engines. I must not buy a 2.1TD, 2.5TD or a V6

I know i said they were old heaps ect ect (and in a way, they are), but saying that, i'm another that should try to sell mine but something says, although it's old and saw better days, keep it for the time being and sell (or try harder to) the Rover 75. I'm hankering after another 320d est as i really like the way they drive ect, i miss the last one but one or both of these will have to go and truth be told....i think i'd be lucky to get a grand for both
But truth be told...i to have a soft spot for my wee 306

There really is just that something about them. You can't pin point it but it keeps dragging you back.
The handing, the looks, the reliability (dare i say it!), the community.
Hopefully I've said goodbye to them for good now with the 6 being scraped yesterday and selling everything. But I'm sure that a special black rallye could draw me back in a few years.
I've had 10 now, a 307, a e46 bmw and tbh its time to go back to the bms having purchased a e39 recently.
I really do appreciate the 'modern' car now after using my dads mk2 Leon (read cheapos mk5 golf) for a few months. The refinement is a massive improvement even if it is a soulless bag if vag crap.
