Subframe help

Just went to take the subframe out of my ph1 dturbo and one of the subframe captive nuts are spinning in the floor does any one know if you can get to it or cut a bit out to weld it under the carpet any help would be good

Never heard of that issue before. I always thought it was a threaded lug on the bodywork rather than a captive nut.

Ah no pics yet just started to take it out and the bolt is just spinning and down enough for the washer to be loose

The ones under the floor pan or the ones on the chassis legs?

It's the bugger buy the gearbox tunnel passenger side will prob just chop the head of the bolt of and then sort when subframe out the way

That would be my port of call. Are you referring to the one on the chassis leg? Or one by the exhaust tunnel?

The ones on the chassis legs can be unbolted again...
IE its a retaining nut inside a cup which is bolted to the leg with two smaller bolts.

Ive had these seize before...had to chop head off and get new 'cup'

Slight hijack.

Can anyone tell me what size bolt 4 is. Part no 350925.
Presume it means m12 x 1.75, just need to know the length.

Got the subframe out now cut the bugger of will prob turn it into a stud with the thread down the bottom and weld the top or somet will have a look !!

Got busy with the angle grinder earlier to get the the captive nut hear are a few pics

I will put a bolt or weld a nut in its place and then patch the home back over
