After some trial testing I have done a first batch of flocked parts.
This is not a puff bottle ebay job. Proper CPH/R5 glue with acetone thinning and appropriate dye use along with pro flock. Applied with a static applicator...gets the flock to stand up rather than lie flat like the DIY jobs...the pro finish.
Heres the pics:
I'm not trying to get rich, just figure I can provide a more suitably priced service for all the little bits than a huge company with bigger overheads.
I will donate a percentage of the profit to 306oc too as I at least owe the site that much!
Prices for the above parts:
Centre console (2part not inc upper vents) £20 (ph1)
Dials surround £7.50
Ph1 electric window switch surrounds (pair) £7.50
Interior wing mirror blanks (pair) £10
Lower right switch surround £7.50
I have yet to do the vents, (centre and sides), when I do I can do a set price for the centre console, surround and vents if interested.
Prices PLUS postage/or collect if you prefer.
prices will be cheaper to begin with as I am not perfect and am perfecting my skills!
Those prices are obviously with the panels/parts...
The future service will be offered on a "send me the bits you want flocked and I will send them back done!!"
I can flock almost anything, plastic or metal, even wood. Exterior parts can be done, but obviously have limits to wear/tear.
Happy to do other car parts, IE non pug and other random bits...
all black at the mo but once made up some funds I will buy some other basic colours, blue/red/green/yellow/grey/white
Oh and I will do it so that I take 50% payment upon order and 50% when you recieve the parts back and are happy....hope that suits.

I'll be very interested in getting some bits done, but not for a 306. How much for slightly bigger centre console than a 306? Mk1 MX-5. Obviously I'll whip it out and send it to you.

Right so I'll have
Dash fascia, all 3 parts
Two side vents
Speedo clocks surround
Sunvisors (??)
Can you do the upper glove box too? Like the main flat bit and leave the edging?
How much for a whole dash? Not that I want it, just interested.

They are both soft, I just like the idea of flocked visors lol.
Glove box I've seen done before, not sure what the difficulty level would be though, as it is soft, like you said

It will work.
But the concern is how long it will stand the elements...grit, rain, brake dust etc etc

I wouldnt wana take the risk of issues with that much heat.
The glue is suited for cars, IE flame resistent and able to cope with high temps...
But I would hate to be party to an engine fire!!
I'll give my visors a go

Cam covers are fine and so are wheels. I head a 1.6 rocker cover done and it was fine, and the guy who did my interior stuff has done a set of alloys for someone which he said are still in good condition.
