How do you run out of fuel, mine goes right off the bottom of the gauge before I pussy out and fill up. I can do 50+ miles on the fuel light

Love a good game of fuel light roulette lol

The more I think about this ph1 front the more I feel the rough edges of the ph1 will not match the ph3 rear...challenge thrown down mate, prove me wrong Smile

Haha, I'm trying to be sensible for a bit, stop making me want to do it now! Haha

I'm committed to the phase 1 look, I think the estate can pull it off. I've got my ph1 rub strips, slam panel and lights ready :-)

I was chatting about this with Jamie on Sunday when I popped over .

Ph 2 and 3 fronts work because the estate rear is curved..lights, roof ,bumpers etc. it's not angled enough for a ph1 and the bumper is colour coded, jamie said there are ph2 style back bumpers with the black strip but they look pic spec..I've not seen one so...

Here's my 2p's worth so please shut me down Smile

Ph1 front and strips, lasers/clones, roof rails removed and something done to the rear & clusters to create an optical illusion of ph1 or less ph 3....make sense??

Yeah I get what you mean, most of the rear cluster is just reflectors so could be painted and blended into the body to make squarer looking lights.

Got some ideas for what wheels to get, it's going to be wide and stanced, something a phase 1 front could pull off well I hope

It that case mate, hack the cluster square and get the bootlid/bodywork extended to fill the gap...that would also make it more of a 1 off car Smile

Update!

I still haven't done anything that's interesting but il tell you all anyway because I'm bored.

Since September I've replaced basically the entire suspension due to wear and tear

So that's :
Both tie bars and track rod ends
Both Wishbones
Both balljoints
Cv boots
Both struts (now on gti6 struts)
Two snapped springs replaced with - 40mm spax items
Both topmounts
All 4 calipers and discs
Mintex pads all round
4 new tyres
New steering rack boots
New droplinks

Nothing exciting, just getting it driving like new, which tbf it does with the gti6 rear beam, new parts and gti6 front arb :-D

Anyway..... The point of this update. I'm collecting the phase 1 front on the weekend!!!!!

And another thing, I'm sacking off the 2.1 idea and working on a stage 2 hdi instead, the cars constantly in use so engine swap would be impossible

So now:
Diablo hdi estate, soon to be stage 2
Ph1 front with sports bumper
Lowered 60mm
205 speedlines in anthracite until I can find the wheels I want
As much ph1 stuff that I can get to fit as possible [Image: 20131229_132550_RichtoneHDR_zpsjon9fuiz.jpg]

Big things happening soon

I haven't picked it up yet! Haha

Bonnet will need respraying, not the end of the world as it means it can be done in ph3 diablo so there's no colour shade difference

Yep :-D

Although I can't decide whether to paint all strips and bumpers trim satin black or colour coded. I really like the few coded ph1 I've seen

I haven't really decided what to do with the interior, admittedly I do quite like the ph3 stuff inside.

Alwayson the lookout for a nice 5dr interior though

Gotta say I am more in favour of doing the ph1 bits in satin black. Like do the roof bars and rear bumper to match too.

Gotta think of something to do with the rear lights though

Might just tint them so they're less noticeable or something

I'm not a fan of colour coded ph1s but then I think diablo and black is really hard to pull off so this comment was largely pointless.

Most of your comments are Tongue

Spam Queen strikes again lol

In all seriousness though Ozone, I vote for black trim too.

And I vote for my suggestion on rear lights...
Paint the top bit black and the useless side black bit colour coded
