I hope he's packed his duvet as I guess that's going to be a long drive.

Just remembered this bit... Uh, no ta, it's already got my levels of bodging, I don't think adding DumDum spec bodging would be a good idea in anyway, shape or form!
Oh and again, no ta, bigger displacement is just for funny looking blokes with funny looking willies
(mines, small, dark and ugly, not funny looking, just fyi)

That video doesn't sound too bad till you speak and it makes you realise how loud it actually is. I take it you called the RAC before it actually exploded to save the fuel?

1. Replacement for displacement = bfo turbo
2. Replacement for bodging = not being a pikey and doing things properly

Think about it, 58hp and 72lbft standard. This engine had 135hp and 190lbft through it!
That's 230% standard power and 260% standard torque.
At least the cups didn't heat up and fall out. I hope it's just a thrown rod, we all know the fix for that eh FORGED!!!!!11111oneoneone
Well, Niall, at least you're not disappointed it didn't die in a "lame" way. lol

1. Replacement for displacement = bfo turbo
2. Replacement for bodging = not being a pikey and doing things properly Exactly this. One day you will come to realise this is actually true when my 1.5d has more power than your 2.2hdi.
Othr Chris, his only happened because of my lack of mechanical sympathy tbh. But feel free to let me have the only turbonad on the forum
Martin, tanks for the math to back that up and out it into perspective

I have lots of mechanical sympathy, I have so much mechanical sympathy that I cry when I go around corners in the Jeep because the diffs are permanently locked.
It's scary when you see the percentage. I reckon it would be fine/reliable at 200% on the standard shizzle. It is hilarious though.

It will be because you NAD keeps (well kept) Up with a gti and i know a gti is faster than a 2.2hdi. And also, Dum will have to actually get the engine fitted for it to do anything and you cant fit a engine to a car you have scrapped

Chris i dont own it anymore. Is it because its not bodged enough?
Also, im not ginge. I dont have a 19 speed gearbox and always look to my right when racing up to speeds of almost 100 on a dual carriageway.

Are the bores of the 1.4 and 1.5 the same? Maybe 1.4 pistons and rods would lower the compression if they are?

Big end is f*cked.
Why would I want to lower the compression? It'd not been the cause of any of my issues so far

^^^ Its just a crappy TU bottom end so other TU parts will probably fit
The 1.4 and 1.5 are different bore but the same stroke IIRC
