Can anyone help identify my wheels please
#1
Hi all

I'm a complete newb in this area so am hoping someone can help me with this. I've got a set of alloys wheels (rims only, no tyres) but don't know much about them or whether they will fit my pug?

The tyres currently on the car have 185/65R14 86H (front) and 185/65R14 86T (rear) and here are the details from the rims:

Adikt
Excel EX
6.5Jx15H2
21 01
366 S .+40

The wheels have been very poorly resprayed so will need a refurb but before I start on that I'd like to know what they are, whether the tyres I currently have will fit or what to get that will and finally if its really worth it.

Here is a link to the pics I have of the wheels and identifying marks:

Lot to ask I know so thanks in advance Smile

Pcd (thats number of bolts holes and the diameter of the circle they form in mm) needs to be 4x108, centre-bore (as the name suggests, the bore of the hole in the centre) needs to be 65.1. I think that ".+40" is probably the et or offset, the 306 takes 18-23 iirc so you'll need 20-25mm spacers. 15x6.5j is fine, almost the same as standard.

Edit: Fixed the centre bore number.

uh no your tyres wont fit ....... you current ones are 14" and these wheels are 15" plus theyed look fecking stupid with65 side walls on .

you need 195/50/15 or 195/55/15 tyres for these

and looking at them id say they are 4x100 pcd

take on of your wheel off and see if you can fit one of these???

As is stamped on the back they are Adikt Excel wheels (google images)

They are 15" diameter by 6.5" wide and as Poodle says probably ET40 offset. The 306 needs ET18 so you'd need 20mm spacers

They came in both 4x100 and 4x108 fitment so you need to see if the bolt holes line up properly.

As they are cheap multi fit wheels even if the bolt holes do match up they probably have a huge Ford center bore so will need spigot rings to take them down to 65.1mm

Oh and no your 14 inch tyres wont fit 15 inch wheels

Thanks for the replies but now I have a couple more questions for you.

I take it a spigot ring is some kind of reducer? Where would Iget one from, online or Halfords type place? Same with the spacers & what would I be looking at cost wise?

Also while I think of it the valves could do with changing over. Are they a universal fit?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, completely new to all this

Google?

Like most car-related things, you can get them from a halfords-type place or the internet, yes. Depends what you get, but will probably be looking at about £150 once you've factored in longer bolts, etc.

Valves are either presta or schraeder type, usually schraeder on car wheels.

Spigot rings are a reducer for the center bore of the wheel (the bit that sits on the lip of the brake disc) and are about £20 a set IIRC. They can be a bit hard to get hold of, youd probably need a specialist.

Spacers and longer bolts will cost you about £120 to get hubcentric ones (ones that aren't hubcentric will cause your wheels to fall off).

If you speak to www.speedshack.co.uk Steve will be able to sort you out with everything you need.

by the time you've bought hubcentric spacers, spigot rings, longer bolts, different size tyres etc, you may as well just sell these on ebay and buy some wheels that fit your car and tyres in the first place? i used to be a wheel whore and always ended up spending a fortune making wheels fit!
