Heater bypass

Heater bypass

Hi, Can someone tell me if it is ok to by pass the heater or not, I thought it was a normal thing to do if the heater core was leaking, also does that coolant smell go if you do it. Thanks.

I only want to bypass it for a few months to hopefully stop the coolant smell and then when the weather warms up and there is more daylight and I will change the matrix. What about radiator sealants, do they work for a while or do they cause other problems?

Lol whats the temp where you are?

I chucked some radweld in mine to sort the leaky matrix. Not an ideal thing to do but did the job. Just change the matrix Smile
