So I will be taking the engine out my d turbo to do some bits to as it will make my life easier. I will be fitting some hdi con rods so I will need to take the head off and then need a new head gasket.
I was just wondering if there is 1 that anyone recommends? I was thinking about getting 1 from Peugeot but wondered if there is an aftermarket 1 they recommend

You will need to find an engine shop to get it, motorfactors won't get them. I also used reinz bolts with mine.

Bolts can be measured and are fine to use again if they're within tolerance. But most people just get new ones

Thinking of getting a head gasket too, what thickness would you recommend ? Don't think the head has been off before

I used a 3 or 4 notch on mine.. Bigger the gasket the more it will lower c/r
Not that it makes a HUGE difference !

Just get a 3 notch (chepeast)
It makes no odds, the difference between thickest and thinnist is a couple thou...You most notice any difference

I put a payen gasket on mine and no issues.
New bolts are cheap so may as well go with new.
