Paint on paint removal

So a previous owner of my newly purchased car was... yeh you guessed it, a painter/decorator! I was fully aware of the paint on the bodywork but as the car was pretty immaculate mechanically I didn't think it as much of a problem.

Just wondering on tips to best remove it without taking off the actual body work paint. Any particular substances that would do the trick?

Emulsion is a bit different to if you scrape your car and get paint on paint. Get a credit card or soft platic scraper and try to remove the paint. Don't over cook it. Then cut it back with a decent cutting compound

wd40 will break down emulsion

I had some paint on my car as like you the previous owner was a painter t cut got it off for me

Id try white spirits. But dont rub way to hard. Also making your you polish and wax after

Had a car in at work recently with paint on paint, flatted the paint off with 1500 then 2000 and then polished with an electric polisher and compound then machine compound, a lil ova the top but was an AC Schnitzer long wheel base 7 Series v12 twin turbo lol anyway good luck gettin it off mate, just take your time and take a softly softly approach to it
