Paint on paint removal - MRiches - 28-06-2013 So a previous owner of my newly purchased car was... yeh you guessed it, a painter/decorator! I was fully aware of the paint on the bodywork but as the car was pretty immaculate mechanically I didn't think it as much of a problem. Just wondering on tips to best remove it without taking off the actual body work paint. Any particular substances that would do the trick? Pic: Only a little, also a bit of brown paint above the badge. Ignore the state of the badge and ignore the fact I'm wearing flip flops. RE: Paint on paint removal - Grant - 28-06-2013 Emulsion is a bit different to if you scrape your car and get paint on paint. Get a credit card or soft platic scraper and try to remove the paint. Don't over cook it. Then cut it back with a decent cutting compound RE: Paint on paint removal - cully - 28-06-2013 wd40 will break down emulsion good luck with the gloss though RE: Paint on paint removal - Danny2009 - 28-06-2013 I had some paint on my car as like you the previous owner was a painter t cut got it off for me Re: Paint on paint removal - kentiiboii - 28-06-2013 Id try white spirits.
