Flame Red S14 Zenki
#1
Not a lot happening with the 205 at the moment so thought I'd put up a project thread for my other car.

I always wanted an 200SX S13 but somehow ended up buying this! It had been sat for a couple of years and is on a reasonable 94,000 miles. It's the first petrol turbo and RWD I've owned as I've always fancied having a go at "getting back end out". I'll probably have either this or the 205 off the road at one time so one will always have the opportunity to be fixed and worked on.

Currently trying to get it through the MOT so have been doing various bits and bobs but its all slowly coming together!

Cheers dude! Had a cheeky drive on way for initial MOT, it definately has some power!

I can't really justify running 2 cars hence having one off the road at all times.

Can't see the point in paying 2 lots of MOT, insurance and tax on a yearly basis... Sad

Edit: Had to move 2 pictures as 20 is the limit and couldn't save my edit of original post:

I took it to the main dealership I work at / my dad runs and they therefore are very anal with attention to detail, most of the stuff probably wouldn't of even been noted if I'd gone to my "local" garage.

However I plan on giving the car some abuse with a "drift what you bring" day chucked in when I can afford one so want to ensure I know exactly whats up with the car.

Better luck this time, or so appears not.

The calipers I sourced and fitted are also apparently seized. I managed to get a refund on them but it's still a pain the ass!!!

Ah well. Shouldn't be long now..! ninja

In good company then...

Like the S14 but out of the 3 main S bodies I think it loses out in the looks department. S15s still attract major ££s though but they look so good!

I guess if you have the money to blow you can make them look smart.

To be honest I always wanted a S13, look nicer, lighter, cheaper in some respects.

To make it look good I'd have to roll the arches, fit massive wheels and lower it.

Screw that though! Cheap and cheerful OEM wheels/height ftw! Tongue

Worst engine Nissan ever made!? SR20's are pretty damn good engines tbh. The CA18 on the other hand...

CA18 is only because the turbo starves of oil, SR20DET, guess what the DET stands for... DETONATION!

Its a shit engine

RB is the shit Wink

Isn't the RB based upon similar technologies used in the CA? I prefer sound/rev's of CA but they are one of the most unreliable engines I can think of! Tongue

I just love how a jap car feels and drives, it all feels like a real engineer thought about every part and then fitted himself

Heh, it feels skittish! Feels like it's got a sticky throttle or something too, as you progressively press the pedal down at about 40% of pedal travel it starts to hang/stick and then around 60% throttle it continues pulling but the sudden jump causes the turbo to kick in, then the end starts going. Dodgy Need to sort that out.
