Sam - between me and you bud I think It had a severe case of metal fatigue lol.
The roads are terrible at the moment and in November I had an advisory on my MOT that I had a dent in the osf wheel. Since then i had been on the lookout for one of the early type at the right price then I got my tracking done in Feb and got it up on the ramps and it certainly didn't look as bad as it does now haha. It's gone on the scrap pile now so it really doesn't matter.

I probably should inform you just in case you start throwing out your deepest darkest secrets to Sam that this forum is public so not really between you and him. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Yup the later ones have different holes for the wheel bolts - mine are flat seated and the later have a slight taper.

why were you looking for an early clone?
the only difference is the counterbore on the bolt holes
i drilled an early clone to match my later ones to save buying odd bolts
they are both fixed with flat head bolts

I didn't want to buy odd bolts as mine are all the chrome head type
