Project sensible take 103
#1
as my 106 is getting more and more tired (231K) and a little battered its time to replace it end of last year i bought a tatty ph1 dturbo to mess about with
(never got done) debating what to do i come across this tidy ish d turbo last month

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1998-PEUGEOT-3...true&rt=nc
got a very inpressive hole in the engine block/sump so i plan to put the ph1 engine in it
and build a sensible car to use evey day and keep the toys
(off road prepped discovery, 2.5 e36 copmact) for the weekends

so plans are to lower it a little, chuck the sxi alloys (in white) on it that i picked up last weekend and go from there

i'll up date with some more pics soon and progress as it needs to be on the road for the end of the month

Are you a hobbyist trader or something? This is crazy, fair play though, you're not too far away so expect you to start turning up to some of the southern meets. Wink

hobbyist trader lol haven't herd that saying before

my main car/love/hobbie is this [Image: 559234_306465816085243_444977397_n.jpg]
stripped out rwd fun lights the wheels up in 3rd wilst building this i had 2~3 e36's then and the car ows me in that picture £40 now ows alot more with the mega squirt ecu etc girl friend runs a standered e36 compact (only coz she wont let me near it)
but i now have a driving job (grew up a little not much)so need my licence so this is now laid up looking ruff (90 day red)

so i bought this
[Image: 67598_438129686252188_1073321907_n.jpg]
put £20 in it go out have a bit of fun laning and still have tyres and a driving licence at the end of the day

both of the above are no good for going to work bmw cost me £8 one day i took it and that was doing 55mph down the motor way

so the 106 d i use at the moment do 200~230 miles to £20 but its old and tatty and on 231k still dose the job
so found the green and blue pug bought that then the red one come along with a hole in the block so i bought that then the silver one come up so i thought i would by that for the g/f to as it dose better mpg then the bmw but she didn't like it looked to old so thats how it goes then i found a bonnet and a set of wheels so bought them (pics to come tomorrow) Big Grin also forgot how easy the 306's were to work on ok to drive and cheap to run so back in to them should end up with a tidy d turbo thats good for the work run and when i go out with the misses etc hence project sensible

i use to be a mechanic had a unit etc but people want every thing for nothing these days and got sick of being covered in crap finishing at 8pm some times doing all nighters when getting carried away with bmw's mates tunes etc so gave up

local meets? whats the avrage age lol think i might feel old
