Its a 2002, was bolted to the bottom of the standard inlet elbow. Pretty sure it wasnt just a bit of turbo. But after fitting my intercooler today im getting some worrying vibrations through the pedals, not a clue what it could be.

It's the air doser. Works by partially closing when the egr is open so that more exhaust gas is drawn through.
Yeah, that's the doser. I would get an earlier model elbow as the flap will restrict the air flow a little.
Is the vibration coming from the clutch pedal? I had it on my clutch pedal after removing my EGR valve, basically the cable got moved about and was touching the turbo inlet pipe, the vibration was coming from that and up the cable.

yeah from the clutch mainly, and from the accelerator as well i think but not as much as the clutch. ive fitted my intercooler now so that valve has gone. and the egr is blanked off. ill check out my cable routing, this was a suspicion but i thought it was all clear. thanks
