As title I've checked fuse 19 which the handbook says is the right one and its fine it stopped working the other day but started again now its gone off completely again what could be the problem ?
On closer inspection with a torch there is a display its just not illuminating

Needs two new bulbs then. The lower cover just pulls off to reveal two t20 torx holding the clock in. Take it out and there are twist in bulbs on top. Replace them

you need 10mm 12v wedge bulbs
ijust put 1 in mine & display works perfect, not sure why they need two bulbs,

Are they the same as w5w sidelight bulbs they look similar

On some the bulb doesn't come out the holder and you need to get another bulb holder as well. I think I ended up paying £7 for a replacement from the dealers once as I couldn't find them anywhere.
Where about in Wolves are you? I'm from Willenhall originally and I bought my car from Regal Motors in Bilston.
