if people could be bothered to travel to herefordshire, theres a place called saxon motorsport with a proper dyno and tuning services, best thing is they are a diesel specialist, they run a team of diesel bmw touring cars. might get in touch with them to see if they could do a club discount for a future rr day

http://www.saxon-motorsport.co.uk/rollingroad.html
this is there site, they say £60 per hour for tuning, but that is just one car, so il enquire about how much a club shootout would be including some tuning services for people who want it.
ive been down there a couple of times and their very professional about it

Yeah that was a bit weird. Not very happy that they took my car straight off the rollers and turned it off, I always let It
Cool down for a few minutes after a run, especially after one like that. Not very proffesional atall

Yeah that annoyed me, barely even let it reach idle before turning it off, and turning the fan off. Cutting all airflow to a car that's just been maxed out is not good, especially for the XUD's which can't cope with overheating. Mine was over 90 when I got in it.

Yeah I certainly gave mine a nice gentle drive home. Il get it up on stands 2moz and check all my hoses as I now have a small oil leak :/
Pleased with the fact that it didn't pop anything off though, the engine rebuild seems to have been a success haha

Yeah thats a bonus. My rev counter also stopped working earlier today, it works until the engine warms up then just cuts out. Reckon I've got a dodgy sensor? thats my reckoning since the down pipe passes so close to it

Novatec in slough do club shoot out days and have a 2wd dyno dynamics rolling road. IIRC last time I asked they said £25pp and they'd put on some pizza too.

I was fortunate enough to be second on the rollers. Here's the vid:
And here's the print-out:
I was disappointed with the result; I thought I was running over 160bhp.
Then on the way home I heard a pop and a whoosh, and lost all turbo - the boost pipe had come off!
I dropped into Kris B's and he sorted it promptly. Now firmly reconnected and tested with a drive to Scotland and back.
Hoping the 149bhp reading was just due to the boost pipe leaking (before coming off) during the rolling road run.
So I'm looking for another rolling road session as soon as possible.
Either Hereford, Chipping Sodbury, or Slough are great.
