Hmm, sort of, it's definatly smoke free, I just need to adjust the LDA pin to get a perfect compromise, my pin is very harsh so too much preload and it's rubbish to drive and causes a lot of lag low down.

power runs arnt too harsh on the car, its just a slow build up then max throttle for a few seconds, just like overtaking really.
its dyno tuning which is very hard on an engine, long amounts of time spent near or on the limiter to record information, thats what can potentually cause damage, but just a few power runs is no different from a 3rd or 4th gear overtaking spree

Hmm, I've never used the whole of 4th, and I'm guessing on the dyno they do? As long as they don't floor it at very low revs, this turbo spools so early it will slip my paddle clutch, so I dread to think what it will do to the engine!

i think power readings are done by "sweep" testing, its when they build upto a certain rpm then build upto a specified end rpm in a continuous sweep. 3rd gear usually i think which is good as we all know how good the 3rd gear pull is with a tuned xud

Is there any chance someone can bring down a lap top with a good battery. My current stage 1 isn't quite the full fat version (hence the figures below) and if i can get a full fat one in time I hope i can upload it on the day. Meed to make sure shes alright on the lesser map first though.

Nah they pull off (as you would driving and keeping the revs low) then just keep it pinned till it hits the limiter or the power starts dropping. Its done in whichever gear is closest to a 1:1 ratio which for 95% of cars including ours is 4th.
running in 3rd will give you an over optomistic figure.

ah cool, knew it was something like that, only ever been present at dyno tuning so just watching a car been held on the limiter for hours

I haven't got it mapped for an R70 pump though mate, and it's still only a stage 1, even if it is a smoky one lol.

An stick the over turbo on it mate and take it easy today. The turbo should be fine from straight away as long as we primer it before starting it
