Im abit weary of the gov mod as i dont like the idea of a run away diesel or am i just being daft? lol

I'd say 140 to 150. I got about 140 on mine but no lda grind and there was more to be had on the pump. I'd recommend the gov mod though, was still one of the best pump mods I did imo, changes how the car drives completely!
Gov modded 11mm Bosch + Standard turbo = 137.2bhp . . . . TD04 now in...time to get playing!

Your just being daft lol, get it done as with that setup your potential is in the higher revs, ideally you want a bigger turbo and youll be looking 150+

Think bigger turbo will be on the wish list but just not for another few months. I think its pretty nippy now with the lucus and k-14 way better than my old hdi, Carnt wait to see what its like with the bosch and front mount :-D

They just feel quicker because the larger turbo causes mkre lag so when it spools up they throw you back in your seat! If you want your lda grinding let me know and ill do it for you, only a 10 min job!

would there be much diffence in having a T2 instead of a K14?

I personally found that K14s make slightly more power, but they are a worse overall drive, don't come on as strong as a T2... I would say 135-145 ish, I doubt you'll see over 145 in honesty...

I made 146 on a K14, 11mm, govmod and very hard tune at like 32psi....

As Ruan says too i agree turbo wise K14 i made slightly more power than T2 but T2 sounded and felt a lot better, but its hard to guage as T2 i had lightened flywheel and fully rebuild and balanced bottom end on the blaze and dont know the history of this but the TD04 goes like stink when she spools up

Or without putting a how to VNT thread if you follow some of the threads on here there may be a breakthrough in VNT control if you want boost low down the revs Smile

Ditch the fmic plan and spend your money on a turbo, probably same amount of money/effort with a bit of research.

See I like the idea about a tdo4 but im a delivery driver I spend most of the night under 2,000rpm and I belive the td04 dosent spool till then or after that, were as my k14 is starting to spool at around 1,500rpm

So whats your td04's like low down? And are you hitting full boost around 3,000 some thing I want to look in to but not some thing that will happen any time soon

We going to be doing a lot of tuning on this day....
Sorry YOUR going to be doing a lot of tuning! Lol.

Tbh I just took my hdi for a spin for first time and to me it's much quicker than dturbo. Less laggy for sure Smile

id read into garrett gt series turbos, people like strictly_derv and pellowe report excellent spool up times. or if your upto a challenge, vnt turbos would be the way to go if you want next to no lag

I think 140-50 on a K14 / T2 is a bit optimistic unless you are going completely balls out

An easy 130 though

Get a TD04 and ready made adaptor plates, job done, proven success and hardly any thinking to be done, practically bolt on 160+bhp

i dunno, mine's 134bhp on k14 and Bosch that's just ground pin, no gov mod or fmic, Danny made 176bhp iirc from just bolting a td04 straight on, if i did those mods i'd expect close to 150bhp from mine Smile

Yer thats why I was thinking 140-150 ish because of looking at your car with 133bhp with out gov mod or fmic.

Well theres only one way to find out and thats for me to get on with it and get it dynoed after then we will see what power it will be,

Just out of intrest what power/touque will the clutch hold? As I have no plans on changeing it lol
