fast car order was megane coupe 225, fiat coupe turbo,gti6,cituning saxo vts, 206 gti180 then lotus. everything else was just temporary runabouts while i looked for the next nice car.
realised that temporary sheds are more fun and a hell of a lot cheaper so stuck with them pretty much.
started getting back into quick cars again so thought best of both worlds which was a 306 derv

Driving back from my girlfriend's in my Mum's Yugo 311 about 1 in the morning in the middle of nowhere as a long haired 19 year old, got pulled by a WPC as there had been some burglaries in the area, "If I was a burglar do you think I'd be using this as a getaway car?", "Good point, on you go." :-)

Not an excuse to the police as such, but an interesting incident of stupidity by a friend of mine.
He lives in a fairly rural area and was driving on some b roads on his way back from a night out, and driving down a country lane he saw some flashing lights behind him from an unmarked car. He pulled over on an unlit road, and was approached by a 'police officer' and was asked where he'd been, where he was heading, and if he'd been drinking. Apparently, the 'officer' didn't have a breathaliser unit with him so asked my mate "breathe on me" to smell the alcohol on his breath He deemed he'd drunk too much to drive, and asked for his keys off of him, and told him to collect the keys and car from the police station the next morning. Now that clearly wasn't a police officer, and he was in disbelief when we pissed ourselves laughing at him, and told him he'd basically been robbed, but funnily enough the keys were in fact handed in to the police the next day.

Only been pulled twice, both were in my old DT and neither times were for naughtiness. First time was an unmarked Merc which I'd already spotted and pointed out to my mate, for tints being too dark on the front (on it when I bought it). I pleaded ignorance... "oh really, I didn't know..." apparently he didn't have his tester on him... so told me to remove them when I got home.
Second tome was just mistaken identity, and after confirming that one of them just chatted to me about the car and was surprised it was diesel (as subtle as the XUD is...).

Herefordshire coppers are the biggest bunch of wurzels around. They seriously just pull every modified car and/or young driver they see. He's not making excuses, they really are a bunch of idiots most of the time!
They pulled my mate last night and made him take his amber light off his car, saying you must buy a permit to use one all year round!? It wasn't even turned on, besides the guy's a Mechanic... The only thing I can think of is boredom, they even came back from the police station because they spotted him when they were driving in.

My old 306 i got pulled 7 times in 2 weeks and twice Ill admit I was driving like a lady garden, but the others were for no reason other than to piss me off.
'Were you speeding there mate?'
'No officer I was under the speed limit.'
'Okay are you sure you wasn't speeding?'
'I was doing 37mph in a 40 zone, can you prove I was speeding?'
'Just gave the camera back to unmarked so your lucky this time, on your way pal'
Stuff like that.

That's so epic! Your mate was lucky! Bet the "police officer" laughed his clock of all the way to the cop shop!

Lol he really was lucky. I think it finally clicked when we explained to him that even if a police officer did pull you over in an unlit area (which from my understanding is against protocol), they certainly wouldn't get you to do a smell test as a breathaliser, and what's even worse is they won't leave in the middle of the countryside in the unlit area and tell you to walk home after taking your keys and driving off in your car :lol;

That can't be right?! The village I live in, and some surrounding ones, street lights are banned... Bit of a PITA walking home from the pub etc!

I usually get pulled because they want to check that the person driving is me and not a youngun fronting insurance! Lol. As soon as they realise Iam an older enthusiast and not some young boy racer they usually want to have a look and a sit in it but never even bother checking it over!!
