I thought so, don't think many if anyone has done gt25.

Darren maybe? But most go gt20/22.

I am looking gt25 since its the more modern version of my turbo I have now t25.

Max has bought gt25v I believe.

But wasn't that just a gt25 core? Gtxx doesn't really mean f*ck all! Well, apart from allowing some willy waving ofc.

I thought the first 2 numbers were to do with shaft size IIRC

It specifies the inducer size, provided nobody has fettled with it.

GT2359V is here and looking good. Ill start on a boost actuator over Christmas.

Also won a 11mm Transhit pump on ebay for £21. Need to decide on priorities, pump or VNT first?

Turbo first, get that done then 11mm pump is something to look forward to, thats my technique anyway lol

Nah, first two numbers has nothing to do with compressor size... It's to do with core and turbine shaft size...

In GTxxyyzzz - xx is frame size (does affect turbine size), yy is compressor exducer size (over 100mm, drop the 1, i.e. GT4202 = 102mm compressor) and zzz is the specific options - R = Ball bearing, V = VNT, K - Electronic Actuator, L = Water Cooled etc...

You've got to remember there's a MASSIVE confusion about T/GT series turbos and the naming system...

Garrett CHANGED the naming system half way through, which means that now there's great confusion over what the name of a product means, a "GT28" in old speak with a 53.00mm turbine wheel actually really means it's a "GT2560R" in new names, however the "GT28"s with a 53.85mm turbine are still a "GT28" -nowadays there's NO point in saying something is a "T25" or a "GT25" as it means nothing and simply causes confusion, say it's a "GT2560"....

Lots of people have done "bigger" than a GT2554, not many have done a GT2560... Thing is the GT25 frame is a bit big for the relatively small compressor wheels, they're not suited to smaller capacity ~5500rpm Diesels, perfect for petrols that don't need much increase in airflow though... Hence the GT2056 and GT2260 will do a better job than a GT2560 on our engines... Don't get hung up on the first numbers, look at the last numbers and their flow maps.

defo 11mm first...quicker than the headache of the vnt and you can see whats possible...then with vnt fitted you can immediately exploit the turbo capabolities!!

So who can guess what this is?

Yep a stack of 16" berlingo steels. Paid just £60 for them and theyer brand spanking new.

They look like this with tyres fitted and the stickers removed.

Annoyingly spacers and bolts cost me more than the wheels. Running 10mm spacers at the front and 15mm at the rear.

Would look really good with the front bumpers strip black and also the small bits of side strip. Also, liking the wheels. Im guessing they are either 6j or 6.5j? Any idea of the weight?

Yeah im trying to decide weather to do the front bits black or the rest of the bits white. I really cant decide ATM.

The wheels are indeed 6.5" wide and ET26

As for weight theyer probably about 10kg each. Should of weighed them really.
