Estate 5x7" Rear Speakers - Recommend me some?
#1
Right! In the next few days Ill have FLI Comp6s up at the front in custom tweeter pods. Ill have either a 10" or 12" sub in a custom enclosure in the boot. So the only ones left are the boot lid speakers! Measured them and they are 5x7".

I was wondering if somebody can Recommend any? Ive got a Kenwood headunit and sub, alpine mono amp for the sub and the fli components. Thinking that Id rather get Kenwoods really just to match the others. But open to anything really!

Also what sites do people use? Just where ever is cheapest?

FLI:

Kenwood:

Kenwood has a greater response range and is £5 more. i guess at this price range its all much of a muchness. Tbh the standard ones sound alright when on a drive but if you open the boot they sound terrible so I wonder what it will sound like with what should be better aftermarket speakers.

Also on Nauests car and my own sometimes there is a fast tapping from the rear speakers. Ned says its the injector signals coming through the rear speakers? Any ideas?

I've got FLI 6x9's in mine and they sound good, they are 3 ways and the response from them is really good.

How did you git 6x9s in the holes? Did you cut them to make them bigger? Or is this in a hatch?

There in my hatch but I had to cut the parcel shelf to suit. Dunno where they are in the estate. I would recommend the FLI's though. I have pioneers in the front of mine and they are good but don't know if they do a three way.

Yeh in the estate they are built into the boot lid and they screw in so thats why they have to be 5x7". Ive seen some FLIs so maybe ill get those or the kenwoods.

ok narrowed this down now and found the cheapest price.

FLIs for £26
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FLI-FI57-F3-5x...3a5ee50ba2

or the Kenwoods for £34
http://audiovisualworld.co.uk/shopping/k...akers.html

thoughts please and Ill order if you can give me a good reason why one is better than the other. Id rather have the Kenwoods but for the money saving I cant see any reason not to get the FLIs seeing as the comp6s i have in the front have always been good.

Mate of mine had a slightly modified one . it was like the normal one but the first 'fold' was made to not be there. Was pretty good tbh

Also wanna Sony xplod amp for the rear speakers? £20 :-)

I meant the parcel shelf. It still had 2 or 3 folds but the first one had MDF under with 6x9s in

And the amp...
