whatre peoples thoughts on something i cant decide about..
i have a black ph3 hdi, lowered roughly 60mm all round, currently on cyclones that need refurbing on 55 profile tyres. Now, do i get them refurbed, and put 45 profile tyres on? (any pics anyone?)
or.. go down the challengers route which i also think would look epic.. (pics?)
Johnny will probably tell you 55's on clones I run 50's as do some other members challengers are 17's so you're going to need a 40/45 with them anyway. I'm going to 16" Ariannes in the new year and will be running 45s as I hate 40 profiles and below as you sacrifice to much in ride comfort from the sidewall flex or lack of.

50 profiles just look daft unless you're like 80mm down. They're also noticeably less comfortable than 55s. 55s match the arches better imo. Until you go so low that the arch is basically sitting on the tyre anyway.
35mm drop (apparently) over 55s on clones on the state...
Edit - Turns out I can't find the pic of my old china on 50s so the above pic is kinda useless on its own. Meh.
Thinking more 50's on cyclones then, it is quite low, I'll have to try sort some pictures for you guys! Always thought silver looked good with black tyres on a black car, maybe anthracite? I keep pretty black if I can, but keeping new tyres black will be easier!
I have had silver nimrods which I hated
White nimrods which I loved but a pain to clean 10spokes
And white cyclones that I liked the best on my black phase 3 dropped 60mm
50 profile clones look awesome. I have 50 profiles on the Rallye, comfortable handle well and don't look lost in the arches atall and I'm only down 20mm
White rims on black cars look awesome. if you can afford it get some compomotive mo6 wheels. or white td pro race 3.
also black and gold can look really good if done right

I'd say 55 on clones because they ride so much better. That said, if you mainly drive on back roads and like to hoon then go 50 for the handling. But if you want lower profiles get bigger wheels
