Bloody front passenger door won't lock . . . .locks are bouncing, the door itsself you can not physically move the metal rod up or down, it seems stuck in the up position, i've had the door card off . . .sprayed loads of wd40 in there and tried working it up and down but it just won't budge . . . .getting pissed off now and i can't lock the car which is obviously not very clever . .
any ideas boys? . . . . i'm clean out atm . . .
Cheers, Matt . . .

can you use the key in the lock to lock it? if not, id suggest a new lock unit (not the barrel)

errrr no . . the key doesn't fit the passenger side otherwise i'd disconnect the central locking on that side and use the key . . . . .. .honestly ffs . . . .it's difficult to see what's going on in there as well, there isn't much room to maneuver . . .

nope its pretty gay trying to work on them lol. if your sure its not the loom (assume you have done a continuity test on all the wires?) then check the drivers one as well and if not that, one of the door locks is faulty.

it's just weird mate . . . . the rod that attaches to the button will not move up or down . . . . it is quite frankly G.A.F. . . . .

yeah you cant put the locks down unless the doors are closed. in which case, is more than likely door loom...probably drivers.

I had same problem and passenger barrell bin smoothed so couldnt lock either if it wont let you puch down when closed it will be door mech id say they same on 3/5 door too btw as i got a 5 on my 3door

i would lube the mech up with some spray oil not wd40 as thats water dispersal and only leaves a very thin layer of oil
