You need h7's and personally I'd go either 6000k or 8000k!

Mine are h7 4300k and are a white with a slight hint of blue my mate has 6000k and they still look white but with a tint of blue but when they're next to each other you can really tell the difference

After following my mate and coming the other way against him he said he didn't notice glare and said it was fine
But if you are worried about glare get the capped ones which are H7r's

Would be interested in some HID's for my ph1 if they were cheap enough. Are they easy to wire up?

Very easy to wire up. They're plug ans play you plug the bulb into the ballast. Then the ballast just plugs to the loom then put the bulb in the holder like usual :-)

youd get horrendous scatter on the ph1 due to the frosted lense, personally, i wouldn't bother, i reckon it'd give too wild a beam pattern

(im not against HIDs at all btw, just think on frosted lense they'd be a bit of a waste of time. IMO, of course)

I was only going to buy the above because they were cheap, and would improve my lights, to be frank they are pretty shit atm, do they cost much to have the 'R' versions?

It's just different bulbs iirc!
I was tempted with the turbo revs versions, they are only £30 and I know turbo revs are a pretty reputable company (as far as eBay goes)

i paid less than £30 delivered off ebay for mine, really nice quality and at the same price as a set of decent 'normal' bulbs, well worth it!

They're not that bad tbh. Not as bad as it sounds like anyway after being around a ph1 with hids

it was ebay item 200710430155. i notice they were actually 5000k and not 4300k and on offer for £29.99 delivered then went back to £49.99.

these look similar but are 6000k so have a slightly more blue tint:
