Picked up my engine today after a rebuild.
It's has some beefier rods fitted, some new pistons and rings, as well as a full bottom end rebuild, and balance.
They also managed to get me a victor reinz headgasket
Getting some uprated head studs, and got my brand new cylinder head to go on.
Completed engine will then be getting treated to a fully rebuilt 11mm Bosch and my hybrid t25, with a cg paddle clutch and perhaps a '6 box

Looks epic Sam, loving the shiny pistons!!
As for a '6 box, it really depends what your after from the car... Ive been running a 6 box ever since i rebuilt it, and wouldnt ever go back to the 5 speed boxs, but the 6 speed is far from ideal....I simply cant stand the screwed up ratios on the 5 speeds, and the equally split 6 speed box is just win, but sadly the box is made of cheese, and dosnt like large ammounts of torque...coupled with the fact you have to put up with higher revs while cruising, basically if you plan on doing lots of miles deffo dont, and if you dont want to spend any money on the box / want to run any decent ammount of torque, then worth re considering...but they are epic for a rag only car dont get me wrong...

Sorry Dan i just put it in so matt etc who were discussing the 6 box could see it on a diesel, but removed it after they had posted as it was rather off topic in Sams thread!

Will you be using standard head bolts?
The best in-betweener of the DT box and 6spd is definitely the 205 DT box, that ripped through gears, topped out about 110-115mph on 185 55 14's though.

Is there not a 6 speed box from the newer citroen hdi's?
Good looking project though mate, what kind of paint did you use for the block?

from what i remeber the box's in the modern pugs still use the be boxs just a different bell housing for what ever engine they engine they went on to. i remember talking about it in depth over on 207oc as some of the thp175 lot wanted 6 speed box and quick google showed the boxes and diff are the same just slight different bell housing. so maybe a look on the 307hdi's

Getting some uprated studs for the head.
Think I'm sticking with the dt box, perhaps a xantia box
