I'm really tempted to get some 406 brembos for my 306. First of all is it actually worth doing? Also what do I need to fit them? I know that I will need bigger wheels. And I will need different discs and hoses but what 1s will I need?

I think they are supposed to stop very well but also squeel very loudly! I wouldn't have thought it'd be worth getting bigger wheels etc when Gti-6 brakes are pretty good and just bolt on.

You dont necessarily NEED bigger wheels, im fitting these under clones, just need 20mm spacers i believe and longer bolts kits are around 47 on ebay, the calipers bolt straight onto hub, you just need braided lines and 288mm xntia v6 disks and 406 pads iirc

I got some challengers to go on anyway. How come 288mm discs when they use 305mm on the 406 if I am correct? And when you say braided lines what can do they need to be off? Are 306 1s long enough?

Get swampy to make you lines. Different discs due to the offset of the discs and hub. I believe.

'6 brakes with decent pads and discs would be equally as good.

I will upgrade to '6 brakes some day, as the standard 266 setup (I'm running basic pads on brembo discs) is not exactly confidence-inspiring!
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

You need xantia v6 288mm discs to use the 406 brembos.

If you've already got some '6 brakes I'd just run them, personally.
