Hi,
Quick overview of the route we will be taking.
Tuesday, 29th April 2014
Leave home 3:00pm
M1 South to M25, clockwise M25, M20
Arrive 9:00pm 29-04-2014 at Travelodge Ashford, Eureka Leisure Park, Rutherford Road, Ashford, Kent, TN25 4BN
Wednesday, 30th April 2014
Leave Travelodge 9:00am
M20 South
Arrive 9:15am Eurotunnel Terminal
Arrive Calais 11:55am (local time).
Depart Calais Eurotunnel Terminal 12:00pm, E40 (Belgium), Brussels, Liége, E31, Parkstraße 1, 53520 Drees, Germany
Arrive Lindner Ferienpark (Drees) Nurburgring 5:30pm
Drink beer.

Chris if you have never had one, you need to go to an interview and then the passport arrives 2 days later.

In all fairness when I did mine, I booked it, booked the interview for 2 weeks later and had the passport in my hand 2 days after that.
