April 2014. Nurburgring - Jonny81191 - 21-04-2013
Due to the massive success of this year's trip, I'm going to put this up early, in order to give people time to save up and get time off work etc..
The plan would be to do similar to this year, but to spend longer at the ring and to not do the European tour. The reason behind this is reliability. We had enough issues with 4 cars, if the numbers were higher, we'd potentially have major issues, running out of time etc..
I suggest a similar date to this year, maybe move it to mid way through the month but no later.
Poodle has done a rough costing for us, it's on the expensive side to avoid nasty surprises.
Camping: (£15pppn) £45
Ferry tickets: £100
Fuel: £180 diesel, £300 petrol (Assuming ~1,500 miles @ average 50derv/30perv mpg; (miles/mpg)*6.13=£XXX)
Laps: 4 laps for £85
Food and drink: £20pp/day = £80
Travel insurance: £20
Random spending: £100
Total cost shouldn't be much more than £700 each.
Costing based on current exchange rate and official listed prices, assuming one person and one car on a four day trip, out monday, back thursday, dover-dunkirke.

Im putting my name down as a interest only thing. I would properly love to take the 6 over there however Im saving to pay off my loan and get my own place at the moment so funds are tight! If i get the spare money, i will be at the front of the cue! (with spare engine in the boot!)

What was the cost roughly for this years trip? If you had say one person in a car? So total fuel and accommodation etc?
Not that i dont have friends, just so i know the costs. Although i doubt i can find someone willing to sit in the bucket seats for too long. 2 hours and your ass starts to loose feeling.

Id say i spent roughly £900 on my own but that was in a gti with a daft fuel bill could easily be done for less

Also the cost of just going to the ring will obviously be less than going to Monaco as well
